{"id":875,"date":"2021-12-05T19:00:53","date_gmt":"2021-12-05T19:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/quartetoeuterpe.com\/?post_type=agenda&#038;p=875"},"modified":"2026-06-12T18:06:49","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T17:06:49","slug":"braga-e-natal","status":"publish","type":"agenda","link":"https:\/\/quartetoeuterpe.pedroferreiraweb.eu\/en\/?agenda=braga-e-natal","title":{"rendered":"Braga \u00e9 Natal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the invitation of the Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Musical Sinfonietta de Braga, the Quarteto Euterpe performed on 5 December 2021 at the Sal\u00e3o Medieval of the University of Minho, as part of the&nbsp;<em>Braga \u00e9 Natal<\/em>&nbsp;programme. The Sal\u00e3o Medieval, one of the most emblematic spaces in the historic centre of Braga, provided a particular acoustics and atmosphere well suited to the repertoire chosen for the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme brought together three works that, despite belonging to distinct historical moments, share an intense relationship with expressivity and emotional weight in string quartet writing. Beethoven&#8217;s Quartet Op. 18 No. 4 and Mendelssohn&#8217;s Quartet Op. 13 No. 2 \u2014 a work marked by unusual expressive intensity and a deep dialogue with Beethovenian language \u2014 framed Anton Webern&#8217;s&nbsp;<em>Langsamer Satz<\/em>, a youthful piece written in 1909 that already anticipates the composer&#8217;s sensitivity towards the dissolution of tonality, while remaining within a lyrical and emotionally dense language.
