{"id":870,"date":"2022-05-26T18:30:14","date_gmt":"2022-05-26T17:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/quartetoeuterpe.com\/?post_type=agenda&#038;p=870"},"modified":"2026-06-12T18:07:41","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T17:07:41","slug":"desvendando-um-norte-erudito-%c2%b7-iii-cicle-%c2%b7-1st-concert","status":"publish","type":"agenda","link":"https:\/\/quartetoeuterpe.pedroferreiraweb.eu\/en\/?agenda=desvendando-um-norte-erudito-%c2%b7-iii-cicle-%c2%b7-1st-concert","title":{"rendered":"Desvendando um Norte Erudito \u00b7 Cicle III \u00b7 1st Concert"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first concert of the third and final cycle of&nbsp;<em>Desvendando um Norte Erudito<\/em>&nbsp;took place on 26 May 2022 at the Casa do Vinho in Valpa\u00e7os \u2014 a space dedicated to the wine culture of the Northeastern Transmontana region, a landscape of strong character and deep-rooted identity that directly informed the choice of programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The concert opened with Bed\u0159ich Smetana&#8217;s Quartet No. 1, a profoundly autobiographical work the composer dedicated to his own life \u2014 tracing a journey through the joy of youth, love and personal tragedy, culminating in the tinnitus that preceded his deafness. This was followed by the world premiere of&nbsp;<em>Vira<\/em>, a work for string quartet commissioned by the Quarteto Euterpe from Portuguese composer Sara Marita specifically for this project \u2014 a work that engages with the Portuguese popular musical tradition through a contemporary language. The concert closed with Heitor Villa-Lobos&#8217;s Quartet No. 1, a youthful work by the Brazilian composer that combines influences from the European tradition with elements of Brazilian popular music, asserting an original and unmistakable voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The three programmes of the third cycle shared a characteristic that set them apart from the previous cycles: the choice of works rooted in specific national musical identities \u2014 Czech, Portuguese and Brazilian \u2014 presented in a region of northern Portugal that rarely hosts this kind of cultural dialogue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":831,"template":"","tipo_evento":[],"class_list":["post-870","agenda","type-agenda","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/quartetoeuterpe.pedroferreiraweb.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/agenda\/870","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/quartetoeuterpe.pedroferreiraweb.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/agenda"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/quartetoeuterpe.pedroferreiraweb.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/agenda"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/quartetoeuterpe.pedroferreiraweb.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/831"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/quartetoeuterpe.pedroferreiraweb.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=870"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"tipo_evento","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/quartetoeuterpe.pedroferreiraweb.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tipo_evento?post=870"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
